First Let'sHEAL
As a child I was told I was "pretty for a dark-skinned girl," but I didn't feel pretty. I was the darkest one in my family and called darkie, tar-baby, and other names by my cousins. Words hurt. We must heal.

Now let's WORKTOGETHER
Growing up, I was teased alot. Some school girls were mean to me. I was Black, but "not Black enough" for most of them and reminded daily. I was called "pale-face, high-yellow, zebra, oreo, ugly." Words hurt. We must heal.

IT'S UP TO US TOSTOP COLORISM
It's important that parents teach their kids to stand against colorism and to not participate in the bullying of any other kids based on skin color.
